Dr. Michael D. Sullivan, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Sullivan was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He moved to North Carolina for medical school and residency, then chose Wilmington to reside and practice. He joined Dr. Billie Cosgrove in 2004, and took over as sole owner of Carolina Dermatology after Dr. Cosgrove’s retirement in 2026.
Outside of work, Dr. Sullivan likes spending time with his wife and two sons, traveling and building and playing guitars.

Stacey Edwards, MSN, FNP-C, DCNP
Stacey is an experienced, board-certified Dermatology Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Cedarville University. She is also a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and brings a strong clinical foundation and a commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate, patient-centered dermatologic care.
Stacey has special interests in skin cancer screening and treatment, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), acne, hair loss, and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). She is dedicated to helping patients understand their skin conditions and developing individualized treatment plans to support their skin health and overall well-being.
In recognition of her professional reputation and positive patient feedback, Stacey was named one of the BusinessRate Top 10 Nurse Practitioners in Winston-Salem for 2025, based on Google Reviews.
Outside of the clinic, Stacey enjoys kayaking, coffee, a good book, and spending time with family and her two Goldendoodles.
Stacey believes that great dermatologic care begins with listening, compassion, and trust. She looks forward to getting to know her patients, helping them find answers to their skin concerns, and partnering with them on their journey to healthier skin.
